owlfish in paradise
The owlfish's tale is one of wonder. One day, an owl caught sight of a brightly colored fish as it swam beneath him in the river. The moonbeams illuminated his crisp, pearly scales and glassy eyes. The owl rather liked the countenance of the fish, and as the days passed, the owl wished more and more to be like the creature he beheld that fateful night. When he awoke the next evening, ah! -- he was as much of an owl as ever, but it seemed he was also a fish. The owl dived into the river, and the fish greeted him with much surprise and civility.
